Wild Board
Wild Boar
It is a mammal with an irritable temperament — especially mothers with their piglets.
Its call is called a grunt, and its voice, snout, and face are very similar to those of the pig.
It is omnivorous, meaning it eats everything — from berries to carcasses.
It has very large tusks, which it uses to defend itself, attack, and show dominance.
Curiosities
It is very sensitive to strong temperature changes, so it takes long mud baths to regulate its body temperature (thermoregulation).
It lives in large groups (about 20 individuals), usually made up of females with their young.
It can live up to 10 years and weigh up to 100 kg.
The wild boar is hunted by wolves, but its greatest enemy is humans.
Its coat is made of stiff bristles, and young boars have light brown stripes to help them camouflage in the forest.
WARNING!
If you encounter a female with her piglets, change your path.
